Why are you dumb enough to come to such a great site and flame the whole thing?
It's a shame really, that you waste your time like this.
Ok give the guy a break. I for one find this site to be poorly laid out and difficult to navigate. I wasn't gonna say it myself but now that someone has broken the ice I think I'll jump in.
Firstly I'd just like to say that this site is an AWESOME resource. There are a bunch of great people on here, most of which are always willing to help out and there are lots of people who contribute truckloads of content, which is just awesome.
Ok now to the criticism: The front page is great, news at the top blah blah,
1) If your an average member and don't know your way around and you want to get to the downloads whats the first thing you'll do? You'll probably click on the "Downloads" link on the main page. But alas that takes you to the download section that is for VIP users only. Also the "chat" link seems dead... as well as the "cheats" link
2) When you goto the forums there is like a whole page of advertisements and junk that you have to scroll down through before your can even read a topic name (and I have my 19" monitor on quite a high res so it could be nearly 2 pages for some people.), this is on EVERY SINGLE FORUM PAGE! Maybe move some of them down the page? Maybe make that bar at the top that says: "the spot network" a little or even ALOT smaller. Does the shout box need to be on every single page of the forums? same with the "PSP-Spot Announcement Box", people will read that if its on the forum front page, but its a little tedious having it follow you round everywhere.
3) I think that there are too many topics in the psp forum. Ie instead of:
*Latest PSP News
*Submit PSP News
*General Discussion & Help
*Homebrew Development & Help
*Games
*Movies / Video
*Accessories
*Game / Accessory Reviews
*Exploits, Iso Loaders, Ripkits, Iso Patches
*Archived PSP News
Have something along the lines of:
*News
*General Discussion
*Homebrew
*Games
*Movies / Videos / Music
*Accessories / Hardware
And then if you must have more topics such as: *Latest news, *submit news, and *Archived News. Have them as sub forums from within the NEWS forum.
And maybe even a *New to PSP Help Forum.
Its just a suggestion...
I'm gonna stop now. But please don't take this as a flame. At the end of the day this is a great site and its, somewhat lack luster layout isn't gonna stop me from coming here cause I love it.
Its just a little constructive criticism.
Cheers.
PS: Genomac, read you posts before you post them.
