Upon reading Noobz generic downgrade guide GTA:LCS, it gave me a link to the 3.03 update so I could use the downgrader, when I try to update my psp, it says the data is corrupted, any assistance?

I have seen this on older psp firmwares. You need to rename the update to EBOOT.PBP instead of UPDATE.PBP if you are getting this error. I got that error on a 2.0 psp and a 2.6 psp and I renamed the 3.03 update and it worked. I have updated many psp's to a downgradable firmware and downgraded them for friends. After you are on 1.5 you should flash a custom firmware.

If it still shows up corrupted download the 3.03 update file again. Sometimes a download is corrupted if it drops the connection to the server or something. Hopefully my suggestions helped you.

If Gta is patched up , then no, u need the unpatched one, for u to downgrade.
