A web analyst has set the Apple rumour mill into overdrive by suggesting the folks in Cupertino are lining up a new flash-based ‘sub-notebook’.
According to macrumors.com, Shaw Wu reckons Jobs and buddies are just waiting on prices of flash drives to drop before they unleash their new product. Apparently, it will run a stripped down OS thanks to less storage space, but as a result won’t hit your wallet too hard.
He places the release at the back end of this year. This could be one to watch seeing as Wu was one of the first to set tongues wagging about the iPhone. A new lappy along these lines would be much speedier than current models, with better battery life to boot.
For now it’s all talk, but as soon as we hear anything like confirmation, we’ll be sure to let you know.
