i accidently hit update instead of the game i was trying to play. now all my files r corrupt. what do i do to get them back. i'm running 2.71

well you can either downgrade once more or install custom firmware (i recommend the custom firmware)

i downloaded the 2.80 firmware to ungrade, so i could downgrade but what folder do i put it in?

You haven't given us much information to go on; how "corrupt" are your files?

Can you still run a 2.80 upgrade if you put it in "ms:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE\"?

i can't run anything from my memory card

everytime i try to load me emulators and games in my card it says my data is corrupt.

How about the 2.80 update?
Do UMDs work?
Is the problem with your firmware or your memory card?
You could try formatting your memory card.

i did format it and it still reads corrupt, have i messed up my memory card?? and it say that my update is corrupt too

Have you tried running a UMD?
You can always just take the memory card out.

u have 2 options my friend:
1 either update to 2.80 (which i recommend because its less the problems) and install .
2 or just format ur memory stick and download all again so that its updated with the psp, if u update with things inside i dont think its good because it may try to update everything inside. then just drop em again in ms:PSP/GAME/...............hope it helps bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And when u upgrade the 2.80 folder goes on ms:PSP/GAME/UPDATE

How did you format your memory card? You're formating with a PC or using the PSP?
