Yeah thats photoshop. I cant say for him, but probably tutorials and just messing around and learning by experimenting.

yea basicly, but i dont read many tutorials only 1s are probebly text effect for mixtape covers but other than that i just expirement, i havent been to school for Graphics Design yet, but i want to, i could learn alot!

You could learn a lot from reading tuts too. Theres a lot of pretty good stuff out there that people put together for others to learn from.
