My friend tells me it is along with the ps3 as well but I'm adament that its just Sony's own firmware, and that the psp can simply run a linux emulator. Who is right, me or my friend?

I'm Not sure I have heard of Linux on PSP & I believe there is an actual build of Linux for PSP (by the same group that made one of the PS2 linux builds) but It would be pretty nice to get linux on my psp.

Interesting topic... Linux on PSP smile.gif

Went to google the topic, but everything out there seems to be only announcements at this point in time. The closest I've seen to it is here (http://df38.dot5hosting.com/~remember/chris/)

The PSP's firmware is custom made by Sony. You are correct.
