As always, these are done by me. You can use them, you can post them elsewhere but only if you give me credit. Enjoy!

I know I read somewhere how to make custom BMP files. Anyone could feel free to convert these to that format if they wish.

Personally, I don't bother with the waves anymore as they are sort of pointless to me.

Oh, and my favorite is the rusty one. lol
Kurt2K7
Yeh i think iv changed my mind

The rusty one looks best tongue.gif - you convinced me

Did you make them all from scratch? Or did you follow some tutorials?

Id love to be able to create something my self without copying from a tutorial lol but im only new to photoshop so my time will come when im good but for now im...err...a noob

No tutorials. I did a lot of them when I was learning but you have to remember that I've been using photoshop since version 4. lol But do the tutorials! That's how I learned,
Kurt2K7

Reaaaaaaaaaallllllyyyyy (ace ventura voice)

You'll notice then that the bluesfear one uses clouds that have been contrasted and colored.

I'll write up a tutorial to show you how to do it.

I'm curious, though, why you seem to constantly question my ability to make these things? I've been doing graphic work for over 10 years you know. In fact, it's my job.

Lol im just trying to annoy you tongue.gif Your works really good im just trying to catch you out!

What do you do for your job? Make logos and that or website designs ect?

I guessed that was what you were doing but you aren't the first nor the last that will try to get me cranked up about that. lol I use all sorts of resources for my work but I've done so many tutorials in the past that they sort of become one whole method.

For instance, the lightening one that you linked to is a good start but it doesn't really look like lightening because of the clouds aspect. Neither does my version because of the curving string look to it. In my case I went to Illustrator and made a bunch of smooth curved lines and then did the design work in photoshop. Filters, blending modes and a couple of other programs and there you have it. (I started making a tut on it but realized that I didn't have the time to go through all those steps while at work. lol)

As for what I do, I am mostly a graphic designer for print and web designs but I also do a lot of code work and database tweaking for the company intranet system as well as the odd photography job where needed. It's perfect for me as I am not stuck with one set of priorities but rather I get to apply myself across a whole range of disciplines.

And then, just because I really need sleep, I do side work which makes me have even less sleep. Just finished a CD design (on disk, insert and tray liner) which took me about 12 hours total but looks fantastic (if I do say so myself). As soon as it is released, I can put shots of it up here.
