PSP Firmware 3.11 Decrypted

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those of you that wish to decrypt the new Sony firmware here is your chance to.

Team C+D latest decrypter works with 3.11.

I have uploaded the latest firmware dumper.

To dump the firmware open up the Eboot with psp brew or PBP unpacker

2.Extract the DATA.PSAR to the root of your memory stick.

3. Copy psar_dump2 and psar_dump2% to your GAME150 folder. (Or whatever you kernel is set to)

4. Launch it from the game menu.

5. Select what option you wish to have. Then it will dump the contents to the root of your memory stick.

Enjoy

This was the same decrypter they released to to decrypt 3.10 it also works with 3.11 so this is not a new release of the program.

Thanks Team C+D for your great work. Sonys new firmware defeated again.

Yes this is true and also old news.

Yes it does mean there MIGHT be a downgrader in the future.

But there will not be a 3.11OE

Unfortunately, yes.

The decryption of the 3.11 firmware only means that:
- DevHook may be able to emulate it (which it now can)
- a 3.11 OE could be made

It does not help (that much) in finding an exploit in 3.11, which would allow homebrew and downgrading on 3.11.

old news like the other person said and there is no down grader for it yet..last time i heard Dark Alex is saying that he wont be making any 3.11 OE because its only a small update
CNDKID
Thanks for clearing that up for a noobie (Me)

Depends which 3.10 you mean; if you mean Sony's official 3.10, then 3.03 OE-C is custom firmware that can play homebrew, ISOs, and real game UMDs while Sony's official 3.10 cannot play homebrew or ISOs.

If you mean 3.10 OE-A, then it is just a new version of 3.03 OE-C that can play games which require up to 3.10, has an extra screen brightness (I think) and better PS1 support. However, it is meant to be less stable than 3.03 OE-C.

I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard other people say that 3.03 OE-C is more stable than 3.10 OE.
They've said that it sometimes crashes and has lower PSP ISO compatibility.
I think some of this was fixed in 3.10 OE-A2, but I haven't bothered to update from 3.03 OE-C to check it out.

3.10 OE had a few hangups with certain games (metal slug maybe?) each revision has improved on that. Most find 3.03c more stable because when 3.1oe first came out people were trippin' about games that would not run and kinda scared others off. No need to think about going to a2, not a big deal. I have been comfortable with both 3.10 oe and 3.03c, the only reason i changed is in my sig tongue.gif
