hey does anyone think that maybe you can convert an ipod hard drive into a compatable drive for psp? i mean wouldnt that be so badass!! 60 gigs!!! imagine. i think it could be done...you know how they made it possible for a SD memory card to work on psp maybe someone can make an adapter for the ipod HD and make it run on its own batteries, it would be badass becuase it wont take up so much space because the ipod is so small and the HD is even smaller...can anyone give me an insight to what they think is possible? and maybe if anyone would like i could try to make it possible but before i do i wanna know if it COULD be done. and i mean this idea is good because they have those ipod recycler things where you can get broken ipods for CHEAP!! but anyways i want some insight...THANKS!

its possible. What would be better is if you can attach a mini hardrive to your psp

Some one in the shoutbox above was just asking if portable wireless storage would be good....at least then ya psp would not have to be any bigger smile.gif

It might be possible (via the USB port), but I don't think it's likely.
The iPod would need specific software to make it compatible with the PSP, maybe even modified firmware.

it might be possible, but isn't the psp only compatible with cards up to like 4 gb right now?

if someone could do that it would be pretty sweet.. but id like to find out how to attach a jump drive to a psp... their pretty cheep

i remeber seeing something about a portable media device with 60 gig hd and a onbard file server that would work for the psp, but when i bought my psp i went looking for it and cant find it anymore, i dont even know what it was called.. it worked though, or at least according to some guys review... anybody else see that or know what im reffering to?? i thinik it rean like 180 USD or something

it has a duo reader so you just poped you MS into it and moved whatever file u wanted to ms and away u went..
neverused
well yeah it'd be nice, but for now I think the support is only up to 8gb for now so you'd have some trouble

i think the wireless thing would be helluavalot better since you wouldnt have to hold it in your hands along with the psp, simply keep in your pocket and its always in range..
dtvhn21
i think that would be possible via usb... well let see if acidmods would try to work on that one...

its just a thought...a super awesome badass thought!

adw888 has got it right the ipod or whatever drive you have would need to be able to do some sort of handshake and be able to edit the file system on the psp. Alternatively, there could be a hombrew app to access a powered usb device, prob easier that way, but the idea of a psp controlling a 30 gig drive is way out there.

Any way it would be super kool, and I happen to have a 30gig nomad sitting around gathering dust....

I suppose it might be feasible if the harddrive has its own power source (like the iPod). If it just a storage device, quite a number on the market are now USB powered and would most probably drain battery life really quickly... dry.gif
