Hi I am new to the PSP I have taken ownership of my daughter’s PSP as she no longer uses it and it seems like a waste to leave it on a shelf collecting dust. So I would like some help in downgrading it to run homebrew and iso's. My PSP has a non TA-082 motherboard running firmware 2.60. Can this be downgraded and is there a Tutorial to help me achive this. Any help would be gratetfully recieved what i have seen so far by googling around has me somewhat confused as there does not seem to be a clear and concise view on how to do this. Thanks for your help

yes its possible but I would recommend going to 2.71 and using the 2.71 generic downgrader because that downgrader is flawless!! Let me know what you think about this and I will give you all the info you need and download files!

Hi Phlak, Thanks for the speedy response it was unexpected but very welcome. I have no problem upgrading to 2.71 if it is a means to an end. I just need clear instructions on the whole procedure. I have read elsewhere that its harder to downgrade the higher the firmware revision is, but if you know better then I will bow to your expertise. I must admit all I have read in the last few days has me a bit confused hence my cry for help on these forums. All help is gratefully received, thanks
