I'm running firmware 1.5 and devhook .52.
The PSP works fine on 1.5, but when i use the devhook to emulate 2.82 to play GTA VCS, the screen is just black.
should i re-install devhook or what?

I would recommend installing 3.03 OE-C (custom firmware): http://www.psp-spot.com/forums/303OE-C-eas...ler-t33797.html
Then you don't need DevHook at all.

devhook is primitive lol
use 3.03 oe- as the guy said above

Only if you upgrade to a custom fw like 3.03 OE-C. If you do, then yeah.

I would install 3.03 OE-C first, then if you like it, get rid of DevHook and Fastloader (didn't know anyone was still using that!).

ya well, before i barely understood anything. my friend did most of the downgrading to 1.5 from 2.8

question: will anything happen if i put the 3.03 OE-C flashers and the devhook + fastloader on the same memory card? or will nothing happen? i really dont want to brick.

Nothing will happen if you just put them on your memory stick.
The only chance of bricking will be when you actually do the flashing to 3.03 OE-C.

As long as you follow the instructions carefully, and run the flasher from 1.50 (not when DevHook is running), then you should be fine.
Also, make sure the battery is charged and the power cable plugged in.
