I was always puzzled by it. On a basic level of understnading, I know that Ripped versions of ISO or PS1 Emulated games are much smaller in size than its full counterparts. I also now that during the process of "ripping", certain files are extracted and deleted from the original ISO in order to decrease its size.

But I am wondering, what change does it really make? I mean are ripped games supposed to run slower? or are their downsides to ripping the games (as from my point of ill-knowledged view of ripped games, they have no down side. Its like Win Win situiation)

Well I was just curious today. Sorry If I asked such a stupid question, but than again, as my teachers always told me, "There are no stupid questions." Right before she breaked in to laghter after hearing it... ohmy.gif

well.. if u're asking what the difference there is about ripped and full, its simple..
normally ripped games dont have videos or sound, so they get smaller.
Full games have everything, videos, story, pics, sound, everything, some iso's are about 1.5 Gb wink.gif

ripped iso games means that they dont include videos, music etc and non-ripped iso games mean they have everything videos, music etc
