So I am getting ready to buy a new system, is the Wii worth the money is what I need to know people. Game and graphic wise, do you think there is enough out there to sustain it's growth over the next couple of years? Are the games worth the money now?

Well i would get a wii over a ps3 easly! Sooo much more cheeper! Yeh the graphics aint amazing or HD but who cares?! Its how much fun you have that counts and you have SOO much fun on the wii! Pluss wii games are like 35 and ps3 games are 50 or so!!!

it is the cheapest system out there (for the next-gen)

the gameplay is by far the funnest
some games get tiring after moving that comtroller around for a while, but all the good games don't
overuse it too much, so thats not an issue
and the games that require more movement give you a workout, which is a good thing

it is like 200% backwaRD COMPATABLE (you just have to pay for the games)
it plays all nintendo systems plus sega plus superbit

and it has internet (just like ps3)


i bought it and it is worth every penny (it woulld be worth every penny of $600, and a ps3 wouldn't)

to be true the wii sis worth every penny, its a very exciting system to get, sensis are good, imagine guns and sword example, then you'll be there forever, theres no limit to the wii.

Had mine since launch. After TP was complete (which was VERY short) its collecting dust. Nintendo need to release more AAA games, so atm its not the greatest system to buy. Xbox 360 is a great machine check that out instead.

yea im considering it for my bday..my friend got it and said its sooo sick. hes been playing the zelda game.

im thinking of getting this for the family.. is there any games for small children?

The wii is aimed for kids/family. I think that if you want something thats good for the long haul, the wii is not the answer. I wont deny that it can be fun or theres a couple decent games (wii sports isnt bad, twilight princess) but the problem is it might just be a fad and die away. Developers have to keep being innovative and releasing good titles or itll suck the big one. And some games just dont play well at all on the wii, you need a good old fashioned controller for that. Plus I'm a sucker for graphics and I dont want to buy a new system that doesnt have better graphics than what I had last time around.

360 - Good for current game library (been our for a year)
ps3 - best long term investment (trust me, watch the games come out this year and realize this is only the first step)

Well to each his own and obviously the wii is the cheapest, but the way I see it...Whats a couple hundred dollars more really matter in the long term. Not a lot at all. Thats why I hate when people complain all the time about the price.

Well iv baught the Wii and fantastic at first but i completed the only good game i have for it, Call of duty 3. Zelda's ok but its not my style, its very complicated to play and im stuck and theres nothing else i can do!

Allthough its a good console it need lots of games to keep you entertained. Im now looking into getting a PS3 because it is the 'top dog' of gaming consoles at the min. I was going to get the 360 but it is now year old and will become out dated sooner than the PS3 so that is going to be my next console...The PS3!

If your a nintendo fan its worth every penny but me id rather buy the ps3 because i have been a fan of sony for a very long time and i envy the wii lmao
