I hope the GPS comes to North america soon
garb
A PSP GPS?
That would be sick.
daleighan
I would import it, but there are no maps for the US
don_5
Until they make maps for North America for it, the only thing it could be used for outside of Japan is maybe Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

There is also a homebrew app that can use google maps on it.
phlak
Yeah I use my PSP as a GPS already with MapThis! its a homebrew ap that works with the Holux 240 GPS device.
ctrain92
hmm probaly they come out with it around the same time as camera
craziwiteboi219
how does the homebrew map work? is it worth buying the gps for it?
phlak
MapThis! is also going to be compatible for the SONY GPS when it comes out. MapThis! is great if you have a GPS device that is compatible for it. I recommend the 240Holux slim. Its around 50 bucks on ebay.
jacq*
it can be used in america. you just download a homebrew to use it

mmm dont they have a homebrew gps for psp? i think they do but and official one would be way better hope it comes to the states sometime soon.

Instead of bringing back a month old thread, and also NOT reading the above post, you would of read that your question was answered. But what do you care you just spammed the boards like a MOFO with over 50 post in 4 hours.....not a good start.

Just got my psp gps 290 yesterday. I've installed Map This! and gps 290 test homebrew. I can get both programs to start and work but i can't set the gps to on. After turning gps to on at the map screen but checking the gps info it status remained off. Help needed

Thanks

I can't wait for it, I already made a custom PSP mount for my car.

I've solved the problem and now the gps is working perfectly and i managed to track all over Singapore. To start, 1st have to get fix and then set off.

and how much does it cost?
street45flight
depending on the price.. i might get one juss to mess with it.. sounds cool
wilecoyote
metal gear solid has use for this, but i don't think i'd spend that much for just that function

yea, it better lol. i wonder how much its gonna cost...
Sledge
Other than getting the cable the Holux option is much better guys. The gps slim has been tested to acquire more satellites with greater accuracy than the PSP add on. The gps slim series is also bluetooth enabled so you can use it with your laptop or pda
REDMAN!
if you stay home all day posting on your pc its not worth the cash, but if your always on the move then its perfect. i WILL have one
strat1227
