Does anyone know the reason why?? there's gotta be a reason!

The price basically. When Nintendo launched they launched thousands of units and actually released more then the othe consoles I believe. But the price on the Wii compared to the other 2 consoles is making it a sold out item. And the fact that its family orientated means a typical mom might pick up a Wii before a PS3 or XBOX 360 knowing that the whole family can enjoy this. Just my opinion I guess.

basicly nintendo are doing the wii's in batches and they are not saying when the deleverys are gona be! I preorded with HMV and about a week after i asked they phoned up and i got one! then a week later they rang back again asking if i baught one because they got another one!!!

I stepped into a Walmart the other day (*shudders* me hatez the Mart of Wal!)... and there were 3 PS3's available, but when i asked about the nintendo Wii's, the worker almost laughed...

But in the end, how can you justify 700$ for a system?

You have to look at it as commitment.

Yes, a Wii is 300$. You will buy 7 games for it. Games go for about $50. Your Wii commitment is 650$.

The PS3 is $700. You will buy 7 games for it. Games go for $60. 1120$... YEY!!

If you buy a PS3 you better hope that nothing better will ever be realeased... EVER!

the wii is number 1 selling for january in the US (by 70% i think)
it is a great system and has high demand
nintendo hasnt met that demand

i waited in lines many times and checked every store many times a week to get mine (and i got it like 2 weeks ago)

it is worth the hassle

i think the reason they don't meet demands is to bring up demand

if it always sells out it must be good right?
and it builds anxiety

it might just be their approach for it


but they still sold more than all the other new-gen systems (they really arn't next gen anymore, right?)

so their numbers seem low whan there are only 3-10 in each store for one shipment a week, but they still had more overall then ps3

and ps3 doesnt have that demand, thats why you see them everywhere

i was a fool to think that nintendo would come thru with supply. never once in their launch history have they been without supply as long as they have this time around. i should have pre-ordered. i'm still waiting for the day i can go into a store and see wii's everywhere. i want my wii!

thats a very easy question, ist because the wii is the best console besides the ps3, only the price, so expensive, the wii is cheap fun and inovative using sensors, its quite fun try it.

I think nintendo didnt make enough on purpose.

That way its going to sell out really fast in every shop and the public going to think 'whow, that console must be good. Everyone is buying it.'

The reason i found that the Wii is so hard to get is that people are always asking when they stop by stores. If you want one, make friends with some of the people who work at the stores and find out when they come in. If you don't they're usually gone within a couple of hours, I know from experience

I think its because its not as expensive as 360 n ps3 and its quite fun the whole family can enjoy it kids and adults

I find it funny that i camped out on the release for 10 hours (people got in line within 6 hours of it launching and still got one!), and up until about 2 months ago people were STILL camping 1-2 hours everytime a wii launch comes out! why didnt they just do it in the first place???
