Which one do you prefer and Why??

I like SanDisk more, i find it a lot faster and more efficient!

From speed tests and other data ive seen it looks like sandisk is the better option bc they are cheaper and for the most part faster.

I think this is one sided.. Sandisk is the obvious winner, why would you want a Sony Stick anyways other than Asesthic purposes.. I know a friend who was aware of all the sandisk features but he got it because it "matched" with his psp (brand - brand)

Thats kinda ridiculous seeing as that you cant even see the stick once its inside your psp.

I have all Sony cards, but from what I have read on speed test the SanDisk seems to be the winner. I like my Sony's though and dont intend to switch anytime soon.

I have two sandisks and am happy with them.

And if anyone wants to get technical about looks, the sandisk one usually look better since theyre sorta clear. But again once its in the psp, what color is it?

Yeah I saw a red one on ebay the other day. It looked sweet being see through and all, red and a black PSP that would be tight! But like you said, once its in the psp who cares. I might have to try out Sandisk sometime.

i dont care if my memcard is nice looking cz mine is sandisk i will stay at sandisk..itz obvious..i think sony memstick is for free gift when buying sony product that uses the memstick..they even team up but sandisk still faster,is that even team work??

but both have pirated version..beware of them..

speed tests on my own PSP show my 2 scan disk cards to be faster than sony. the Ultra 66 is also faster than the standard scandisk card i have one of each

Sandisk is faster than Sony... but for some reason... it is more expensive in this part of the world...

Ive never seen sandisks be more expensive for the same product, thats weird.


And as for the pirated ones, you only have to be careful of that if youre buying them from somewhere like ebay.

buy what ever is cheaper. Both are relible sources for speed and good product. Just becareful of the bootleg blue memory sticks. they are slightly wider that may get jammed in your psp.

I've got 3 sony memory sticks, i just see them as better quality for some reason.

until now i thought Sony memory stick were the best for psp cuz it's from same company right, but after what i have read, im gonna buy Sandisk from now on... Sony ripped me off!!

Just because it has the name doesnt make it any better than sandisk. The sandisk cards have proven to be faster and cheaper at the same time.

sandisk tend to be much faster den sony.
writing a 800mb file into both stick, the sandisk is faster by 3 min.

by far sandisk. i found them (1g solid blue case) for $29.99 out the door, no bs mail-in rebate crap, from office max. i have 3 of them and have never had a problem with them. don't buy the more expensive translucent sandisk cards targeted for the psp. just pick up the solid blue cased ones and call it a day.

I'm so glad I read this post. I for one thought that the SanDisk would be the one to be worse simply because it wasn't an official Sony brand. I can see that I am mistaken now and reading this post will save me money next time I go to the store. Thanks, guys!

I believe most of these speed tests that are being referred to are for the regular sony cards. I would really like to see some data of the Sony High Speed cards vs the Sandisk. True the Sony High Speed cards used to be rediculously expensive but I just got a 2GB on for $25. Also still on the lookout for a good deal on a Sandisk Ultra II 4gb card for comparison.

Sandisk. I personally own a Sony 2 GB Pro Duo stick. My friend owns the same thing, but his is a Sandisk. Read speeds are the same, but write speed of Sandisk blown Sony away. The OEUPDATEMAKER for custom firmware took 2 HOURS to complete on my stick, it only took 2 MINUTES on the SanDisk.

whatever the reason sony make it so,itz juz the brand...well,some ppl buy brand than performance...nt me,i take performance no matter wat brand..even if it fake,it delivers wat i 1 den itz mine.. least it makes my games move smooth..

I know nothing about that. I wouldnt think that the card would affect power usage at all, just the psp reading from it.

sandisk is probably cheaper as long as you dont buy the ultra's which are usually used for prof. cameras users. I read somewhere also that the psp doesn't take advantage of the "high speed" type cards. Does anyone know if this is true?

ibought today a nes "scandisk stick" and its a whole new thing!!! its definately better than sony and chaper too!!! even though sony has cool colors and stuff but we dont have a competition of the cutest stick right? who cares about the outside, its the inside that counts.

Like someone previously said sony you're only paying for the name and that it matches your psp, wow, who really cares, not me i prefer it to be cheap then just to pay for the name
