ok, so im a noob to homebrew. i am going to downgrade in a few days waiting to borrow a friends copy of gta. what is an eloader and is it required to run iso's and homebrew apps/games. Secondly is homebrew legal? I know the legality of iso's but i don't know about homebrew. any help would be appreciated!

Once you are on 3.03OE-C you wont need an eloader you can play your games right from the XMB. Homebrew has issues on weather its legal or not. Since the PSP was not meant to run certain homebrew aps you could say its not legal. But most homebrew is harmless and I highly doubt Sony would give a rats ass for most of it. Now if we get a working WEP key sniffer then that would be an ap you can call illegal. You should support homebrew because its people working long and hard to make your PSP better and it gives Sony ideas for new projects in the future.

Homebrew is legal because you own the console. You bought it, and you can do what you like with it. This is assuming that the homebrew app itself is legal. Also, dont use ISOs unless you own the actual game.

ISO are not homebrew. And yes ISO's are illegal (IF) you dont own the actual game.

oh no i dont have any iso's i just knew that they were like umm computer games or sumthin, so homebrew are cool then.
