ive tested this twice now... first i tried NFS carbon. i hav fw 3.03oe-c at the moment, i d/l the complete iso version of nfs carbon, no rips.. game goes fine.. but when i tried multiplayer using ad hoc. there is no go. my friends psp is fw 2.71 not custom fw. and he has the umd of nfs carbon. we tried selecting diff channels and automatic channel too. but still no go. it seems that the 2 psp do not communicate w/ each other. i did not over clock my psp its still in 222, i tried d/l another iso thinking i have a corrupt iso.. but still no go.. so i thought it just wont work for nfs carbon. now i tried getting def jan still full iso and my same friend w/ fw 2.71 also has umd of def jam.. we tried and still no ad hoc.. cud there be anything wrong w/ my psp or.. ad hoc will not work w/ custom fw vs. sony fw? btw .. we tried other games. and game sharing works.. its just ad hoc that wont work..

any ideas?

ok i think i knw the prob.. iso v umd will not allow ad hoc to work

No that is not true because my friend has the UMD of SOCOM 2 and I have the ISO and we play each other all the time at break times at work.
I had this problem a while back and it was just a bad transfer from my computer to PSP, I just re-installed it on my PSP and it was fine. But you said you tried other games and it didnt work?

^ omg now i wana bang my head on the keyboard... yea i tried it w/ 3 games now reinstalled and stuff.. i tried the switching of umd, and that made ad hoc work. unfortunately it still wont work iso to umd.. damn but u said it works w/ u? i think i really hav to bang my head on the keys now.. hav 2 research agen ahhahaha

The multiplayer might be ripped out of the ISO? Have you got the full dump? Why not dump your freinds UMD then try that ISO?

i dl from torrent and it says its full version.. but how wud i knw that its for real?

havent tried dumping his umd coz he livs far away and we just meet at work lol
