is there any type of accessorie that allows you to plug your psp into a tv??:
maps
y wolu u wana do that since the comp can do that...i dont think that thing is available..but tv in psp is,able..even if there is,you will have to upgrade to whatever version because of the lack of prx files..
NyghtcrawleR
Actually there are couple things that allow your psp to hook up to a tv but I'm pretty sure the quality isnt that great.
maps
there is?? oh man, since my screen cracked,i dont really spent much time on psp...really?? there is?? anyway,y would he need it since the psp screen is big enuf for 3 extra ppl to look..haha..mayb projector..
NyghtcrawleR
This one is a projector, so it projects whats displayed on your screen. If its cracked then this wouldnt work anyway.

I wish there was one that could take advantage of the PSP's serial or USB port. TV out is a necessary funtion IMHO.
cakling
i heard of one that clips on to the screne . but the quality isnt that good cuz it just reads off the screne and blows it up from that.. not through the usb which would make more sense youd think right. I think it costs about 200 bucks which is a rip off to me since the psp is 200 already.....welll i guess tell your friends to buy there own psp and then you wouldnt need the tv haha dry.gif
ilovesex
sounds good

a t.v. out through the usb would be really nice, other wise i would probably just end up buying dvd movies rather than umd most of the time.
netsboy
no, I think u can do it vice versa, using locationfree.

You can view tv/movies on the psp using a location free player and a wireless hotspot.
maps
well now i need an accesory which use whatever input from psp to tv or pc monitor which doesnt affect if the psp screen is cracked..cz mine is cracked..and i wana play game on psp!!
NyghtcrawleR
You havent looked into getting another screen yet? Its probably going to cost you not that much more than to buy some accessory that lets you play the psp on the tv.

Nyhgtcrawler is right, the Sharp screen are nice and don't cost all that much, swapping them out is not near as hard as you might think. Just be careful with the little flip up tabs that hold the ribbon cable
s3prototype
worest product ever. watch the you tube videos on installing it. just play playstation 2 games...

I managed to get a Nyko PSP to TV adaptor off of eBay for $12 or something like that. It's a camera that clips to your screen and has composite cables out the back. The quality isn't great but it's actually better than I expected considering what it is.

But in the original poster's situation it won't help. It would display the crack on the screen.

And there is unfortunately nothing else. There isn't a simple USB cable adaptor and LocationFree only lets you watch TV on the PSP, not the other way around.

if you were to directly transmit data via usb cable to a tv you'd have lag due to the bandwith and processing power it might consume. and if you didn't have that, you'd have a picture that looked like crap and you'd have to frameskip in order for it to work correctly. The projectors work because they have their own sensor and processor to transmit the data.

AXE that, i wonder how much bandwidth the graphics processor actually uses in it's small connection to the LCD. It doesn't need nearly as much as pc's because of the low resolution, which is another thing: It'd look like crap on tv due to the resolution differences. UMD's are made to look good on the psp screen, and the psp screen is very sharp. Transmitting the data directly to a tv would probably yield very disappointing results. It's to be expected when a camera is doing this, as you can never get as clear a picture from a lens like that as you can with a direct connection, but from a direct link you'd more than likely be disappointed.
darkshadownet
there is something but dont get it, its dum, its just a camera hooked up to the psp
NyghtcrawleR
That what I just showed above.....

Kind of. Firstly it's shaped strangely and uses mirrors. It would be hard to use as a cam. And it is set to very close-up focus because it just has to go from the screen to the cam and you can't adjust the focus. If you have a cracked screen I would avoid the cam thing. It wouldn't help, doesn't work well anyway and really isn't useful as a regular camera.

chck tht out
NyghtcrawleR
Its the same idea with attaching to the screen so its still loses image quality and still isnt a good option for it. Plus it doesnt help if you have a cracked screen as the other guy did.

WTF'nF is that?! Looks like a vacuum lol
boa12
beats the purpose of havin a psp imo :\

The only tv out that doesn't just have a camera focusing on the screen is PSP2TV, it reads directly from the hardware.Although, you have to have skill to install it because it involves opening the psp case and modifying the internals.Waaay too scary for most ppl.
Check it out here:PSP2TV

Oh,and I haven't heard of these since 2005,so I assume they're not in production anymore.
dawoodraz
i cant belive that the psp slim has tv out, ridiculous of sony not thinki up that idea 2 yrs ago with the original psp but hey atleast we got homebrew n iso while im pretty sure the psp lite will not for a long time
ThUgZtaH
why use the psp when u got ps2 or ps3 for the TV?

i think there's a really LOGICAL reason why it's called the Playstation PORTABLE... biggrin.gif
dawoodraz
i anyway usually use my psp when travellin on bus or on holiday and i use my ps3 or ps2 when at home unless im checkin if new homebrew works so i would use a tv out function, definately not worth buyin a new homebrew free psp for it
lokister
im sure the psp slim came out to address the hacking problem and stuff.

tv out is a cool feature, i hope they have a software and cable for it for the old psp users later.
DarkWarrior_
I wouldnt mind it for all the media i wanted to share to my tv lol
