when in the process of downgrading from 2.71 do i run HEN-D on my pc or psp?and how do i do this?

can you please elaborate more, do you have the file downloaded? are you trying to downgrade? or are you trying to run hen d for your ta-082? please post what firmware you have and if you have a ta-082

You run it on your PSP, having copied it to your PSP memory card.
You run it by going to the Photo section of the XMB and selecting the folder which has "HEN" in the name.

As voltezo5 has said, a bit more specific info would be useful.

i have the file downloaded on my pc only.....one of the steps when downgrading is running HEN-D and im unsure how todo this.....ive got a psp which has a 2.71 firmware and ta-082 motherboard.

You need to extract the downloaded archive, then copy the contents of the "MS_ROOT" folder to the root of your PSP memory card ("ms:\").
Then you run it on your PSP by going to the Photo section of the XMB, then selecting "HEND".

are there any risks involved when using HEND? ie bricking the psp?

I've never heard of anyone bricking their PSP using HEN-D, so I'd say that there is practically no risk.
