808mb is the size straight out the iso?

what is the file size once you rip out all the useless stuff?

EDIT: I dont think I did this right, but I just deleted the update folder, then re-packed, and the file came up 83.3mb.....can this be right?

No, that's not right, but more importantly, did the game load? smile.gif

That 600+ MB file (data.pak or something) is all dummy data, the game is only about 100MB, but ripping it is proving quite difficult. I think the files have to be in specific locations. A couple of us are working on some ideas that we don't even know will work, but will take some time to finish (hex editing the start address of over 2600 files... Takes a while...) If either of us succeed, you'll hear about it. smile.gif

If anything actually works, please share!

hope this helps!

That's not working karloz, you will need the other files to get the ISO out of the rar. wink.gif Has anybody find a working solution? I think it has to do with the LBA structure (look dirlist.txt) but I don't really know.

**I found out what I did wrong, I would of posted sooner, but the site was actin up for me...

the first time I re-packed the iso, I clicked "build vcdrom" and a window popped up saying "The total number of files and directories exceeds limitation!"

...I guess it only repacked the limited number of files making the file size so small,

but then I found out that after you get that prompt, if you click build vcdrom again, it passes the limit of files somehow, and gives you the right file size....so after just deleting the update folder, I got the file size from 789mb to 707mb..

sry for the confusion...

But the base-file is a dummy file so you could remove this but afterwards it doesn't load. sad.gif

I tried to replaced the dummy file with one of only 375 bytes. I then rebuild the iso, extracted a filelist with the NEW LBA locations of all files. Next, i wrote a small application that reads the dirlist.txt and replaces the LBA location (first one on the line) with the new lba location from the rebuild iso. Then i rebuild the iso again, with the correct dirlist.txt file. It still doesnt load. sad.gif
My guess is is that the 3rd number in dirlist.txt, a hex number has something to do with it. I haven't figured out yet what that number is exactly. I thought i could be a crc32 of the file, but that doesnt match.

So far, im all out off ideas atm.

Any further progress on this? That dummy file is a bitch....eating up a hell of a lot of memory stick space for nothing sad.gif.

Also: This game has a lot of .xml files that define things for the game, such as token requirements for prizes, I wonder if you edit them, repack the ISO, would it change it in the game?
