lemme try to get this straight, u r trying to copy the files to ur hd from ur cd? u dun need to do that
get some iso ripping software and its done directly from ur cd, creating the iso to ur hd. easy and simple. jus another tip for u, alcohol120% is very easy to use for dumping cds to isos.
once u get that iso.... getting the eboot is pretty much the same as the rest.

don't try to copy the files as a folder, rip it as a .toast file. (you can change .toast to .iso for greater compatibility if you wish) this is gonna sound really stoopid, but its true. i use toast titanium 7 on a g4 laptop. i tried everything, (try changing the source to .bin) and this werked. if you have a laptop tilt it about 45 degrees up, and run toast. it werked for me!
also, clean the disc very well b4 you start.
let me know if this helps,

use clonecd it works the best, at least for me...
- insert your psx cd into the cd drive
- then open up clonecd, u should get a message saying this is not free
and that it is a trial version, just ignore this and click try it.
- now click read to image file, this is the first icon with a acd and a set of glasses.
- select your burner from the drives listed, you should now see a couple of profiles.
- we will have to make a new one, rightclick on the white space
and click new, name it psx back up or something along them lines, it is not really important what it is named
- Now click next, it should give you a box saying where do you want to save it, name it the name of the game you are copying,
and save it to the desktop as it will save a lot of hastle, it may take a while for it to finish (5 minutes or so) but once it does, you
should get three files, an image file, a .dcc file and another file, forget the other two files, it is the image
file that you need, the iso.
- and after that you can use popstation with or without the GUI to convert it to an EBOOT.PBP just follow the instrutions with the popstation/popstation GUI

i use alcohol120% most effective and IMO the easiest form of extracting an iso from a PSX game cd..
