I have a psp V2.81 and im waiting for the next downgrader and i just bought a game that requires me to upgrade to 3.01, how the hell can i play this game without upgrading. and i dont know if its any thing but do i even have to wait? or is there ever gonna be a downgrader? if so can anyone tell me how to load the game without upgrading?

At the moment, you cannot play the game without upgrading.


There will probably be a downgrader one day, but no one here knows how long it will take for there to be one.


Unfortunately you cannot, and so you have a hard choice to make; either:
- do not upgrade, and wait for a 2.81 downgrader (meaning you won't be able to play the game at the moment)
or
- upgrade to 3.01 to play the game (meaning when a 2.81 downgrader comes out you won't be able to use it

I don't really know what to advise here, because I don't when a 2.81 downgrader is coming out.
If I say you shouldn't update and it takes ages for a downgrader (or the downgrader is for 3.01 as well) then you would have wasted your time.
If I say you should update and a 2.81 downgrader comes out tomorrow you wouldn't be happy.
So it's your choice.

GRRR dont we all hate and love sony! love them for the AMAZING psp and hate them for the firmware updates! anyway you can by pass it. Did you ever see the video on how to get GTA VC to play with 2.71? well what you have to do is put a <2.8 UMD in the drive and run it and while the gameboot video is playin (the PSP playstion portible white video) swap the umd with your new game...hopefully this will work but im not sure its good for for umd holder thing lol naa its ok to use

Does that actually work? It reminds me of the old swap trick on the PS2.
Even if it does it really can't be good for your PSP.
