What do you think?

I think its worth it when you can downgrade your psp, but you have to read the text over before you should start incase you do end up bricking your psp
dtvhn21
well everyone has a free choice wheter to downgrade or not...

downgrading is well worth it. If you follow the instructions you will have a very small chance of actually bricking your psp.

Downgrading is worth the risk; just be very careful.
Some general advice:
- double-check that you are using the right downgrader (TA-082 or non TA-082)
- if you are not confident then either get someone else who is to do it or use an "Easy" downgrader package
- make sure you have the power cable plugged in as well as a fully charged battery
- read the instructions over a few times before you start

Its all about risk.

You take the risk or you just pay for the stuff.

I think its well worth it, it allows the psp to be used to its proper capabilitie. I highly recommend custom firmware aswell, I was in the same position as you till I mustered the courage and did it. Since installing the custom firmware I have never looked back. The recovery feature is also great to have as insurance for the future.

I think its well worth the risk. I bought my PSP used on ebay for $120 with 2.71 firmware on it. I downgraded to 1.5 and did the devhook thing for a while then did the 3.03OE-A. Downgrading opens up a vast amount of gaming options, especially for people my age who grew up with the NES, Super NES, and Sega. Not to mention all the ISO's you can find. I am really happy with my PSP but yes it is nerve racking everytime you do a downgrade or custom upgrade.

definatly worth the risk
