I have currently upgraded to OE-B and when I play Socom FTB2 online it tells me to download updates it's that going to take me to 3.03 or it's it safe!

I don't think you can play online games (as ISOs) which have extra checks.

I have 3.02 OE and I've played the Socom 2 iso online. Just install the update, it won't change your firmware. The only thing there servers check for is that you have 2.81 or higher but with the custom fw it will think you have 3.02 and let you play.

IT installs a game update file to the Memory card for the SOCOM game. it doesnt update the firmware.. u will see 2 SOCOM icons in the game menu after installing the update.. the second one will say
SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 2 V1.10 update... next to the icon..
I downloaded it when i had 3.03 OE_B running and i can play online fine..
now on OE_C

yep there right it only updates the game by making a folder in your GAME folder and allows you to play online,it s about 8MB and took me about 4min on wifi/cable connection, it only checks to see if you have 2.81 firmware it doesnt check for 3.03.

If youve ever played socom on the ps2, its the same thing as the patches they put out for the game. Its a file that corrects bugs, glitches, etc.

I freaked out when I installed the update myself. But its all safe. It just updates Socom from 1.0 to 1.10. And it plays perfect online!

thats not good just upgrade to 3.03 OEx
