There are rumors tha a psp keyboard is coming out in spring.
Dunno if it will come out though. I guess we have to wait, wish and see

I think the keyboard would be a great addition to the psp ... any1 who disagrees or thinks diff, well they dont need 2 buy one do they lol

yeah just noticed that myself... froogled psp keyboard and thats what came up, then googled it and came up with this...

In an unsurprising move, Logic 3 has canceled its PlayStation Portable keyboard peripheral, an add-on meant to offer gamers a key input system whose main usage--I can only guess--would be for communication with others. Based on the picture I have seen of the unit, it fit underneath the screen and folded up, possibly acting as a screen protector as well.

The cancellation was blamed on Sony and a lack of information provision on its part. In order for the keyboard to work, Logic 3 required access to a number of command protocols in the PSP. Sony was unwilling to release these protocols, meaning the project was dead in the water.

Anything that requires Sony to give up a few commands from the internal workings of its devices is going to get frowned upon. With all the trouble hackers are causing Sony through firmware vulnerabilities, you can bet someone would find a way to take advantage of any command protocols that were released. The only way we'll see a PSP keyboard now is if Sony releases one themselves.


So looks like the only hope of a keyboard on the psp is with sony... fingers crossed, hopefully MjW turns out to be right with the spring release ..

i need a psp keyboard.. typing in socom takes forever

they look ok, but i wouldnt want 1.

ehh, idk i think thats kinda stupid, like the keyboard for it will just look funny cause its about the same size as the psp and even though i dont like the number pad keyboard on the psp, im def. not wasteing money on this..

Well get ya one of the Palm Universal keyboards cuz there is a dev app out for it and soon I am sure someone will make a PRX so that it will run anywhere in the PSP

There isnt one yet for the psp, so youre not going to find one on ebay.....

Sony wont release any information needed to create a keyboard, but wont create it themselves. A keyboard would definitly be one of the top accessories for the psp.

There are IR keyboard apps available to use IR keyboards w/ the psp, but they haven't found a way to use the keyboard in regular iso/umd games or the web browser yet.

a keyboard would make things so much easier. that's actually why i prefer my ds over the psp.

Well it all down to sony they stopped logic 3 from developing it so unless they do it cant see one coming out for the psp, Even tho i would buy one like a flash i spend so much time on the internet on it but a pain to use without keyboard. heres hoping sony do.

this keyboard is a great idea no more manual typing in the small txt box on the psp....just hope the keyboard keys are big enough for the larger fingered person

When i used to play my PSP on a regular basis i would have brought they keyboard at the earliest opportunity. Now however, i feel that i simply dont need one, as the games i play do not require a keyboard. Besides, i hardly play my psp anyway.

Yes. However, its has an Internet browser- meaning a keyboard would benefit those who use that function..making url entries and chat rooms easy and quick to use..making the PSP's Internet browser easy to use.
Most notably, the PSP can use many instant messengers meaning communication is swift and easy.

sony is being gay about all this they should just let others make products for the psp
