some mp4 files dont play on the PSP for some reason..if this happens get a PSP video converter and convert them to mp4 again... I kno Xilisoft PSP Video Converter can do this, not sure about any others.

did you get two files when you downloaded? you should have an mp4 file and a THM file

You don't need the THM file, the MP4 movie file should still work without it.

YUP ECONVERT IS THE WAY RIGT NOW PSP IS VERY LITTLE ON SUPPORT VIDEO CODEX
My first guess would be that your firmware is lower than 2.00 and the movie is encoded in mp4 avc, but now i see that you mentioned 2.81 on your profile..
So I have no idea.

Try downloading an other version of the movie again since that has the less hustle if you are not in to encoding stuff otherwise do what the guys above said convert it again.
Or try PSplayerMT

where in your psp do you put 'em? Try making a VIDEO(and yes put video in caps)folder on your psp, and put the MP4's in there.....

I had that problem too when I was on 2.71sec, but I 'think' the problem is because the .mp4 file doesnt have a title tag, I read somewhere that you could add it in with a hex editor but that was way past my abilities so I didnt bother with it. when i upgraded to 3.03oe the problem was sorted out automatically
