metal gear solid, i like the part when psycho mantis is reading your mind...it freaked me out and i had a blast playing it over and over and over. my favorite is the steath suit after playing the games numerous times

MGS is incredibly good - at least the portion I have played. Sadly when I played it back in the day, I only got to the helicopter boss, got trounced, and never returned. The level of self-awareness, gameplay and graphics are all great though.

Fave is probably FFVII. Yeah, big surprise, but what can you do. Prefer the one before (on SNES), but this one is so epic and beautiful. I feel Square should have made more of the soundtrack (after something like Tomb Raider, the fake chip orchestra stuff is slightly duff), but the graphics are astounding. They really raised the bar at the time. More importantly, the story is engaging, and there is a tangible sense that you are in the midst of something big when playing through it.

Fave fighting game is probably Dead Or Alive, actually. I love Tekken (3 is the best, but I spent most time with 2), but DOA is just so fast and frenetic! It got frustrating on the higher difficulty levels, but that dynamic of striking and countering at such speed cannot be equalled. Big fan of the SF Alpha series on the PS too.

Gran Turismo was unbelievable when it came out - the next step in graphics, post-FFVII, and one of those big shocks when screens were initially released. As deep as it gets too. That said, props to Colin McCrae, which was a great little franchise. My favourite racer might be one of the Ridge games. I played teh first one for hours and hours on end in 1996, and have gone back to it on PSP - not bad for a gane with only one track. Type 4 was great as well.

only thing is though? is when you reach mantis on MGS to defeat him on the PSX console u simply plug in the pad in player 2! how can you do that on the psp lol

I'm busy going through RE3 got to the part where i've just gave jill the vacine but when i run past nemisis and reach the room with the 2 clock and the bell to go through to the graveyard/hospital/etc it crashes their every single time

i always loved vagrant story, but mgs was the s@#t, i got hooked on that games from the good old nes

Metal Gear Solid is the best game ever created... but resident evil, tomb raider, and mission impossible were also my favorite psx games

Alundra is one of my all time favorite games, i think it perfected the zelda style gameplay.
Final Fantasy 7-9 were great

tomb raider 2 is the best tomb raider game of all time
resident evil games were the first games that i was actually afraid to play when they first came out
castlevania symphony of the night was awesome

I have to say harvest moon back to nature, but thats just my opinion

Im an rpg lover. So its gotta be FF7 for me.

im going to have to say Metal Gear Solid which was amazing and Final Fantasy 7,8 and 9 loved them all. Lol i remember memorys of ringing up my mates to see how far they had got on Metal gear solid and asking how to do stuff. ahh life is good when you are a kid no exams lol.

Erg that's a tough one I guess if I like had a gun to m3h head and had to decide it would be either Silent Hill or Resident Evil 3 x3 see even when meh life depends on it I can't decide.

i think that ff9 has to be on the list for one of(cant say it is the best cause i havent played all the psx games yet but i will ;-)) best psx games ever. i loved it so much i named my son Zidane

It's hard to narrow it down to just one game. Final Fantasy VII, and Tactics were great roleplaying games. I didn't care for the gameplay of VIII. IX was pretty fun though. Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Brave Fencer Musashi. Hell, SquareSoft did a great job over all for the PSX

Tekken won me over, hands down. I played that game for months.

Action games were revolutionary on the PSX. MGS, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil series. Nemesis was my favorite.

Driving games were really brought around in the later years, Gran Tourismo was a really good game in its day. Wipeout provided many hours of entertainment as well. I couldn't get enough of it for some reason.

If you wanted you can go even older than that with Descent, and Bushido Blade.

I think that just about covers it.

i dont really have one, i have many tho, lets see the FF series, and GTA and others.

damn, how could I forget about Brave Fencer Musashi, 100 % AAWESOME, its a must play game, definitely one of the best, Square was great with their games then, now it seems like they losing heart and feeling in their games

Either FFVII or Metal Gear Solid. Either one hands down is the best game.
