yea i know im new here but not so much the psp community. I was wondering if anybody here could help me get started with psp game design. Such as making astroids and all that stuff like pac man and galaga. What i am asking for here is what programs should i use, and what should i download, what i should watch out for, good tutorials, and any other stuff to help me get started out with game construction.

I tried a few times to get pspsdk downloaded and get it working but there were a few errors. Also should i use pspsdk?

Also wondering what is better if they can be compared, but what exactly is LUA and what is different about it from pspsdk?

Hello first off you are a C programmer use pspsdk and C++ to make many god things for us. although it is diffcult there are guides out there and toolkits that help you use pspsdk with some of the compilers out there. LUA is like basic it is easy and has a limited amount of use, but you can make games with stop animation and like galaga and what u are striving towards. the 3d scrolling is easier to do on C++ as in LUA I am not sure if it can even do that. Hell those type games could be made with flash and psp can handle that just use the old flash to make it if so.

I don't think that there are many PSP devs on this site; you should have a look at the forums at ps2dev.org.
