any way not to get a ta 082 ?
i heard you cant downgrade and is not good for homebrew ..........
if i buy one retail .......and it has like 2.6 fw on it or 2.7 whats the chances of it being ta 082 ? 100 percent ?
i would like to have a non ta 082 , but i would like to get one new as well.........
also even if i dont get a non ta 082 how much worse is it for me ? can i still run iso loaders of backed up games and emulators ?

There is no surefire way of getting a non TA-082 short of checking the PSP before you buy it, although you could check the box for some info.
If you get a TA-082 which has firmware 2.71 or below, you can still play most homebrew and run ISOs.
If the PSP has firmware 2.60, it might not be a TA-082 (mine was 2.60 and wasn't a TA-082), but it probably is.
If the PSP has firmware 2.7+, it almost certainly will be a TA-082.
Running homebrew on a TA-082 isn't too bad, I think you only need to run Homebrew Enabler once each time you turn your PSP on from a hard reset / power off.

just make sure the version it below 2.8 then no matter wat you'll be able to run certain homebrew...(ISOs ahem)
