Must be a slow news day as ive seen on a few sites today that the PSone games that are to be downloadable at the release of the Firmware 3.0 for PSP have been named. Well let me quote our excellent Japanese news poster Happy Mak: (Who posted this on October 26th)

The official emulator titles for November have been announced (in japan). There are 9 in all going to be available from later part of November. Well 9 is a small number. I had perceived a big library available right at the start actually !!!

These will be available on the Playstation Store under the section "Game Archives"

Just a shame that Sony didnt stick some killer titles in that bunch above eh ?

they wanna try and fix the fw bugs first im sure. so as to prevent FUN or "piracy" whatever you want to call it. its to keep the masses from finding flaws and exploits. wait to release the good games, and the coders wont need to figure out how to downgrade the fw because they wont update.

what will happen to our modified 2.71 psp?can we still upgrade to firmware 3.0?and play those new games?

Do you mean if you have 2.71 SE then can you upgrade?
You can run an update file (EBOOT.PBP) for any firmware via the 2.71 SE recovery menu (hold R when booting).

But I personally won't be upgrading to 3.00; giving up homebrew just for a few PS1 games is simply not worth it.

Yep, especially when 3.0 could be cracked and emulated. Who knows, it could be months, it could be the day after it's released. Since I work on my car a lot, I learned to be very patient. The only thing I lost my patience for is slow drivers. Go figure.

Are there really any PS1 games out there that would be worth anyone upgrading and getting rid of there homebrew? I can't think of any off hand.
