MICROSOFT'S Xbox 360 and Sony's soon to be seen PS3 are much of a muchness according to games developer, Denis Dyack.

In an interview with Game Daily,Dyack, who is president of Silicon Knights, said the 360 and the PS3 were are equal in power.

While the PS3 had more processing power, the 360 had more available memory, he said. There is potentially more power in the PS3 but it was harder for developers to tap and might as well not be there.

The public might think that the PS3 was better, but to developers, they both looked the same, Dyack said.

Of course the PS3 will end up costing punters a lot more so really his comments are a bit of win for Microsoft.

He said that Microsoft was looking really good. "In the beginning, everyone thought Sony would walk away with it, now we will not know sure for two years," he said. As far as the Wii is concerned, Dyack said that a lot would depend on whether its controller does not break over time.
