My PSP is currently running 2.71 SE B, it's working like magic!!! You can load ISO/CSO in MS derectly in XMB, under the Game icon!!!
And if you don't like it, you can always easily downgrade it back to 1.50 using "Recovery mode".

Sounds good but if your on 1.50 already the only thing it removes is the 'emulate to FW 2.XX'. So it's nice, but not nice enough

2.71 SE-B is very tempting with built in ISO loading but I still prefer the GUI offered by Wedge's DLX Mod for DevHook:

It's much better than a slow-loading, overcrowded Game menu with lower compatibility than DevHook.
Still, SE-B is very good progress from SE-A and maybe SE-C will convince me to switch from 1.50 with harleyg's.

Nothing will convince be to switch from 1.5, especially not my white one.

i like SE-B' better than 1.5 because it is easier and faster to load iso's than using devhook (and SE-B' has a little bit of no-umd support

yeah lovin the 2.71 se-b, its cool to be able to play/run homebrew games and still be able to buy the new umds to play.

Either use DevHook, or upgrade to 2.71 SE-B', which has built-in ISO loading from the "Game" menu.

Thanks adw888, Yes now I have upgrade to 2.71 SE - B. I manage to play ISO games but seems cant play the CSO format games. But when I convert CSO to ISO I can play it. Problems is ISO file is bigger than CSO file. Help. Thanks.

CSO should work fine, at least the Readme file claims it does; I haven't actually used 2.71 SE so I can't confirm it.

I think that there's an option in the Recovery Menu (hold R when you boot), to hide corrupted icons.

Go for 2.71 SE-B3, it's being actively developed and constantly updated (unlike DevHook).
At the moment it seems like that DevHook is the past and SE is the future.

are you sure? people are always saying devhook is better blah blah, but i'm just scared to upgrade form 1.50.. wouldn't it be "safer" to try out devhook first, since i can always get rid of it and maintain my 1.50fw?

Yes it would be "safer" to try out DevHook, as it doesn't involve any flashing of firmware files.

But not by much, the method used by Dark_AleX now for flashing 2.71 SE is very safe.
And you can always downgrade back to 1.50 from 2.71 SE via the Recovery Menu.

actually woth 2.71 se" (aka rev 3 ) it automatically does the sfo hack, and it works rather well been playing gta:vcs for almost a week now no problems.

Dev Hook should load within 2.71 SE-C, so in case for some reason an ISO doesn't load, you can always load dev hook and then emulate 2.71 and get the game going.
