Originally this thread was made to inform people about the features of SE, now this has basicly become a full se guide for all who dont feel like reading everywhere for stuff.

How does it work ?
Both 1.50 and 2.71 kernel are flashed into flash0
it uses 1.50 kernel to bootstrap patched 2.71 firmware
Can i Devhook Se?
* As of right now there is no way to devhook the se firmware unless you have the se firmware ON your psp. if it is on your psp you can use 271F (See below for details)
Current Feature List:
* Full 2.71 homebrew support
* Almost full 1.50 homebrews support (Flashing homebrews dont work well)
* Recovery menu
* Full Devhook support
* Access to all 2.71 features
* Native 2.71 UMD support
* 1.50 decrypted prx executable support
* Real no-kxploit embeded (thus 1.00 unpatched eboot support)
* Access to all 2.71 kernel features using 2.71 homebrews, such as GPS support or wpa support.
* Built In ISO/CSO loader
* Auto-Eboot Launch

THIS DOESNT WORK ON TA-082 PSP'S! IT WILL BRICK!
THIS METHOD APPLYS TO PEOPLE UPDATEING FROM 1.5 TO SE-B
IF YOU HAVE SE-A LOOK BELOW THIS
* To install: (begin chargeing your psp right now as well)

1. get a 1.5 psp
2. obtain the 1.5 and 2.71 update files
3. rename them to 150.pbp and 271.pbp as the should be
4. verify that yoru Memory stick is NOT fake
5. Download and UnRAR the CFW from : http://Dax.lan.st
6. place seupdmaker and seupdmaker% in the game folder on your psp
7. place the 2 eboots in seupdmaker
8. on your psp run seupdmaker
9. after its done you will have a DATA.DXAR file in the seupdmaker folder
10. put 271seflasher and 271seflasher% on your game folder on your psp
11. place DATA.DXAR in 271seflasher
12. TAKE ANY UMD OUT OF THE DRIVE NOW!
13. run 271seflasher
14. Read the text and verify that this is what you want
15. press x to continue installation, R to escape back to 1.5
16. format your memory stick afterwards to clear all the installation programs
17. Restore factory defaults.
Note: When ever you install an update its best to reset factory defaults so flash1 is clean, I still dont know why these "guide" people have not included this information, hell I corrupted my flash1 and it stoped me from setting background pictures and other things lol. - Gcentrex
Note in SE-B (and higher) : At petition of someone with battery problems, now this check can be by passed at your own risk; Execute the program with triangle and L pressed.
___________________UPDATEING SE-A TO SE-B_________________
1. Download the newest SE from here - Dax.lan.st
2. Put se_update in game150 and run it (on your already 2.71Se psp)
3. Press X
4. Seconds will Pass
5. You now have the newest SE.

Where does Stuff Go?
* Place 1.5 homebrew (NON or Kxploited) in the X:/PSP/GAME150 folder
* Place 2.71 homebrew/eboots in the X:/PSP/GAME folder
* Place ISO/CSO's In X:/ISO
* (*note you MUST have BOUTH the game folders AND the ISO folder to play ANYTHING*)

To Edit The following Configurations:

AUTORUN PROGRAM AT /psp/game/boot/eboot.pbp
1. Turn OFF your psp
2. HOLD R as you turn your psp on to enter the recovery menu
3. Go to configurations
4. Enable/disable options
5. Exit

You can boot 2.71 from FLASH (Freeing Up MS space ) to do so all you need to do is use the devhook271 flash fix D_A put in with the CFW:
1. Before installing the DH D_A included, delete your current DH installation
2. C/P the DH and PSP folders from the devhook271 flash fix folder to your psp
3. Run DH for 2.71 from your PSP
4. Under flash options select 271F

1. Place your iso's in X:/ISO
2. Go to your memory stick like you would to run homebrew
3. see your Game? run it!
*note: you MUST HAVE A UMD IN THE DRIVE! this may be fixed in se-c

If you are reading this and haveing problems with iso's other than those below, you are at SE-A, Update to SE-B useing the guide above.
OK SO 2 GAMES DO NOT WORK WITH SE-B:
* MGA2 via the built in iso launcher doesnt work (dunno bout emulated 2.71)
* 2.81 Games, thats right, they are comming now

Known Bugs:
* Non-kxploited eboots over a certain size have trouble loading, kxploit them to run them fine.
* after launching 2.71 homebrew then returning to xmb 1.50 homebrew no longer appears until reboot.
* Irshell has lots of issues...

1. built-in iso/cso support (dax to be added in 2.71 SE-C (or later)) The iso/cso int he ms0:/ISO/ folder display in the game menu. At this time an UMD has to be in the drive (that wont be needed in the future releases)
2. Ability to set the ms0:/PSP/GAME/ folder for 1.50 kernel homebrews and ms0:/PSP/GAME271/ for 2.71 homebrew (this is optional)
3. Ability to run an eboot at startup
4. Some game compatibilty issues were fixed
5. Ability to force the use of boot.bin in umds.
6. Ability to enable/disable the noplainmodulecheck patch in umds/isos (for advanced users)

- Improve the homebrew loader of 2.71. Whenever HEN for 2.71 has an update, SE will have the same update to his internal HEN core.
- Add more configuration options.
- Let decrypted prx's in the bootstrap load after "init.prx".
