The Producers' Guild of America (PGA) has once again selected their 50 most innovative producers in the field of Digital Entertainment, this time published in the Hollywood Reporter on October 19th. The list of 50 producers and creators covers fields of animation, broadband, DVD, games, ITV, mobile and visual effects. From the game field this time, the PGA has picked Will Wright, creator of The Sims, at number 5, Hideo Kojima, father of the Metal Gear Solid series, at number 38, and Tetsuya Mizuguchi, creator of Rez and Lumines and founder of Q Entertainment, at number 50. Professor Ryuta Kawashima, the brain behind Nintendo's Brain Age product, also made the list at number 16. Famous names outside the game industry include Dennis Muren (#20) for his visual effects work on Star Wars, Google's Larry Page and Sergei Brin (#9), and YouTube's Chad Hurley and Chris Chen (#23).
