OK so i put a custom psp theme using themepsp v1.2 and iv used it before and everything went well. I downloaded a new theme from where I usually get ones that i know work. I put it on and it restarts, then it goes to that blue screen that says "setting information is corrupted. Press the O button....." the one that comes up after you have downgraded or whatever. when i press O it makes a weird beep sound then goes back to the blue screen. I have done it over and over and sometimes the psp splash screen comes up but then the blue screen comes back up! Now when other people say their psp is bricked it is just a black screen and nothing happens but mine turns and and goes to this screen. If this has happend to someones psp before and they have fixed it please help me, or if you think you know what happend please help too. But anyone that can help at all please do.
Thanks to all in advance

it was a halo3 theme. I have downloaded and used other themes from the same place that i got this one, so i dont know if it could have been a bad theme

Hey, the same thing actually happened to me this morning. I flashed a Makaveli font to it last night, and I even turned it off and on a couple of times, but when I turned it on for the first time today, I got that blue screen, but nothing bad happened. Everything I had on it from before was still intact. The only thing tho, is that the buttons were swapped back to the Jap config.
I don't know why you can't get through. I hope you can figure it out.

well i think what happend is that i put a bad theme on my flash0 and when i get blue screen that tells me that something is wrong in my flash0 so pressing O, it tries to fix whats in my flash0 with a already corrupted file. does this sound right if so im in a never ending blue screen loop so i guess its as good as a bricked psp

ummmm..........

hate to tell you this but your going to have to either wait this off because it could just fix by itself for any known reason but the weird thing is its the flash1 not flash0 and when you flash any theme its to the flash0

K, I just found out that it has something to do with Fhacker, and if you don't have a custom firmware, you're screwed.

Ok well I got some good news everyone (cuz i know you were all crying for me ), before i was messing with themepsp, i was using x-flash and before you could start it puts dark alex's custom firmware. Well I totoaly forgot that I had his firmware on my psp, and with his firmware you could use the recovery.elf that is in it, which i didnt know. well anyway when i was at the blue screen I was trying everything, switching memory sticks, pulling them out and in, and pressing all the buttons. And a different blue screen came up that sad recovery mode. I didnt know what it was, so i pressed X which said start program...ms:\psp\game\up date\eboot.PBP. I didnt think nothing of it because i was mad that i thought i bricked my psp. well i woke up at 2 in the morning and thought that screen must be the unbricker (i dont know why i didnt think of that at first) that comes with the custom firmware. So i turned on my comp. and put a 2.71 update eboot i had on my memory stick, held R and got the the recovery screen and pressed X again, but this time the update screen came up, and at this time i was running around and yelling and throwing stuff . So i downgraded and got my niffty little 1.5 back thanks to Dark Alex. So for now on I will call Dark Alex Jezus with a z cuz i just love him.
Well thanks to everyone for the help and hope you enjoyed my ALMOST bricked psp story.
oh and dont mess with your psp's flash without a custom firmware so you could avoid all this stuff

Why did you update back up to 2.71 to downgrade tho? If you updated to 2.00, I don't think there's ANY chance of your PSP bricking at all using the MPH downgrader.
Also, I didn't have to go to the recovery mode. I just left everything the way I always have it, so it would go to the xmb. Idk, maybe yours was just more screwed up than mine. Looks like you dodged a major bullet.
And to anyone else who intends to flash your PSP, GET A CUSTOM FIRMWARE. Trust me, it's completely worth it.

well i think i know your problem now that u fixed it and you didn't have to reupdate.....
since u did have the custom firmware it starts up custom .prx files from your memory card and all you had to do is start it with no memory stick because i have a custom firmware and all kinds of .prx files start when i boot up my psp..
when i started my psp today i had the same problem lol but since it was my font (and i use the old fonthack that tweaks your registry and not actually on my flash because i get tired of custom font.) and well it kept going to that blue skreen but then i noticed it was booting a .prx filea nd i just took it out and bam! it got fixed
also you could of gotten file assistant and just got a fresh registry and put them back on your flash1 instead of updateing and having the chance to brick again..
anyway you should put the custom firmware on your redowngraded psp since it won't have it since u updated then downgraded for you can fix future problems
