I was using the conversion utility created by bootser to convert an ISO to CSO, my question is thus;- whilst converting i noticed that it only took a minute to convert a 200mb ISO to CSO under the compression rate of '9', i noticed my game was now only 7000KB. Why? I tried this on different rates, and on other larger ISO's, it has worked before and ive now stared using umdgen to do the conversion instead.
So i have 2 quick questions;-
1) why does it convert to only 7000KBs-9000KBS
2) what are the disadvantages of converting to CSO?

UPDATE: i used umdgen to convert ridge racers and it did the same!!!!

1) Either something is going wrong or the game had a huge dummy file (i.e. *.pad).
2) Possible slowdown when playing the game, but I haven't noticed any when running at 333Mhz, and I convert all my .ISOs to .CSOs.

I was told to set the devhook at 222/111 Mhz, oh well i will just play with it. Thanks for the help!
