i have a 2.6 psp and im not sure how to downgrade it. i have a program that i got from www.psp-hacks.com but it sais that if my psp is IC1003 i cant use it or that it will brick or something, can anyone help me?

The "IC1003" is the text to identify if your PSP has TA-082 hardware; it is shown clearly on this page:

If you have a TA-082 PSP then you can NOT downgrade or your PSP will brick (break / become unusable).

If you don't have a TA-082 PSP (there is no "IC1003" text) then you can use the downgrader.
Just follow the instructions carefully and have the AC adapter plugged in while you do it.
