Full Version: what are "TA-082" PSP's?
can anyone tell me whatr "TA-082" PSP's are?
They're PSP's that have a certain motherboard that can't hack into the flash or something. To dumb it down, they can't be downgraded because, either it just won't work or it'll brick (i'm not sure which one.)
Sony blacklisted the 1.5 firmware so it can't be downgraded.
so since i hav a ta-082 bought 2.5 firmware accident upgraded 2.71 and when a downgrader come out i wont be able to downgrade? thats hella gay

Japanese PSP's too? I just sold mine to my bro so I can get another one to downgrade it, and I want to get another white Jap PSP. But if they did it to all PSP's around the world, then that was just a waste.

Do you mean that all of them being sold now are TA-082?
Because I bought my PSP a few weeks ago and it was not a TA-082; I was even able to downgrade the firmware from 2.6 to 1.5.
If your PSP had the IC1003 that means you have a TA-082 if it is on the mobo. If you had the mark IC6001 it means it isn't a TA-082, The problem I have is that it has both marks on both sides so i think it's still a TA-082 because they redid the mobo. The one's with fw 2.71 are the ones with the new mobo if you buy it from a store
will it ever be possible to downgrade it?
