Has anyone installed fancy new buttons on their PSP. If so, was it difficult, worth it? Do you like it?

Not sure why or how you would go about installing new buttons!
ns9
If you mean replacing your current buttons it isn\'t that hard but it voids you warranty since you need to open the psp. They sell kits for this, just google them.
Nicko01
i wouldn't do that to my psp lol
haloman
wtf new bottons originals are fine
Squishface

stevojanago

I changed my buttons on my PSP.. since the white one's buttons aren't crystal like unlike black psp.. I changed mine into a different buttons. And no installing isn't that hard, and Who says my warrenty is void. Oh that little sticker thing you have to remove.. if ur smart.. u'll just have it slide off for a bit and not rip it out.. I can still have warrenty on mine.. I'll just replace the button if i need to send it in.. DUH..

Enkei Xpress
I Kept mine the same.
MjW
As soon as the warranty goes away in a few days i am going to mod the d-pad and make the buttons a bit higher. Coz right now it sucks playing fighting games and pro evolution.
Stalksy
MjW that sounds HARD.

Do the buttons ever wear out though?
dtvhn21
why change the buttons???
killdozer1827
why bother with it?
maps
itz worth it cz my psp's warranty is over...so might as well explore the psp n personalize it...something like putting external wifi antenna...i've open my psp alot of times, need to be carefull with the screws, they easily lose their "+ shape" the one to insert screwdriver...
MjW
To anybody that wants to mod the psp with higher buttons to play better in some games and external wifi antennas, use google.

There are people who did that and they have posted tutorials.

The d-pad mod is easy though. they even sell button mod stuff for the psp on ebay if you cant make your own.
fallen99

hmm
ZeroX24
the replacement it rather simple. The only thing you gotta watch out for is dust getting on the LCD screen and on the back of the face plate.
s3prototype
same! look!

I for one would like to someday put a or a few low voltage led's in so the buttons glowed. separate the light somehow to keep the colors on one button vs. them all or have them all the same color. Same with dpad.
CookieCola228
Kept mine the same, don't find the need for new buttons.
Brett-619
The new buttons look cheap and tacky, like the clear gameboy cases you could get, i'm keeping mine the same.
RigaMortus
how much do these new buttons and faceplates cost altogether?
spr1409

marksdisplayname
ive seen some retarded buttons where instead of triangle it was the symbol of a umd, the x was a ps2 controller, square was a psp, and i dont remember what circle was. but it came with a chrome anolog stick, face plate thing. but u had to take the psp apart to ut the face plate and buttons on. too much work for me and it didnt look good
