CapCom has shippedMonster Hunter Freedom for PSP, an expanded version of the fantasy adventure RPG game Monster Hunter originally developed for Sony's Playstation 2.





Monster Hunter Freedom for PSP features highly detailed graphics and hundreds of single- and multi-player quests and missions: after players get an initial feel for the game's village, the chief points players towards a few simple quests, and the game unfolds from there. Players can use a wide variety of weapons and tools; combat is turn-based but runs at a fast pace. Up to four players can connect using the PSP's wireless capabilities to join together in multiplayer battles.





The game's village headquarters has also been expanded; players to set up improved houses to store items, there's a farm where players can hunt, fish, garden, and poke around for useful items, a shop where items can be bought and sold, and the cat-staffed Felyne Kitchen where cats cook up health and power-enhancing brews.

Monster Hunter Freedom is already a huge hit in Japan, with over 600,000 copies sold. The North American version is rated "T" for teen by the ESRB, and is priced at $39.95.

just wanted to point out that the combat is not turn based at all you fight and swing your sword yourself no taking turns here biggrin.gif
