Why does the 360 heat up more than the regular xbox. I have noticed that since my roommate bought his 360 a couple weeks ago. It seems that this cooler should be a requirement and everybody should use it considering how much the console costs.

i heard of stories where the intercooler damaged the 360, if you keep your 360 in a well ventilated place as with the power brick then it should be fine

the intercooler is where itz at. i have it n i can't even tell my 360 is on nemore. itz so quiet idling n wen reading discs.

Anyways I used the intercooler on my 360 and I got the red ring of death while using it, I am not blaming it on it, but ever since I was repaired I quit using it and I have been fine!

I have my 360 standing veritcally to utilize both side vents and I used to the Nyko Intercooler until it caused a temporary RROD, about 2 months ago... as I was waiting on my game to load. I quickly unplugged my 360 and let it site for about 5 minutes, unplugged the intercooler and I havent had a problem since. I've packaged that sorry excuse for $20 back up neatly and will probably give it away at a yard sale.
