I really want to try this out but i'm not prepared to spring $500 bucks on it until i know what the quality is like.

i'm hoping that sony will release a software version for those of us with tv tuner cards and wireless G already installed.

I'm still not sure on what it does... so can you stream tv shows from around the world?? or it is more like a high range wifi thing for your own personal files?

im also not sure but i think that like if u go on vacation u get to watch youre local channels away from home all u need is a broadband signal.

yup and there are different versions of it. not all are compatible w/ the psp

It's a pretty good idea, but for the price it's definately not worth it.

I wouln't buy one, I heard the ps3 has one in already, that saves me quite a bit of money.

It seems like way to much, get a slingbox instead if you want to to do it. it can hook up to your laptoop and i think there is an addon so it can stream to the psp.

dont waste ur money... price may go down after a while.. be patient

just get a ps3 its about the same price anyway.

Correction, the ps3 well come with one, BUT.. it well only allow u to view ur DVD movies wirelessly to your PSP not TV Channels, I dont kno if youll beable to watch ur blu-ray movies wirelessly tho, thats a possibilty tho. I dont see why not, since u can with DVD movies. Well see, till then i guess

you shoudnt get this thing. it always takes long to stream videos and music. it has very bad connections which disconnects most of the time. i would just get a device that downloads directly onto the psp

they already lowered the price of the Location free player here in Nc to about $240 at bestbuy well i think ill buy one to stream video to my psp and computer

I heard after one down payment for the location free player u still have to pay monthly to stream the channels.CALL IT DIRECT(PSP) or COMPSP

instead of buying a 350 dollar location free base station you can use the homebrew app called tvsp. Dont have the link but you can find it somewhere on WE TRY TO STEAL PSP-SPOT STAFF.com under the files section. All you need is tv capture card for your pc which only costs from 30 to 60 dollars. Sound is not supported yet but is being added

no way worth even a $100 why stream tv to yr psp wen u can just watch it on a tv anyway is beyond me. it is a very cool and cleaver product but i wudnt buy it. making 1 that streams music wud b a better idea coz with all those new hi-fi systems with wi-fi connections coming out it wud b a much more useable product but thats jus my opinion.

Wow I really wonder how many of these things sony as actually sold??? I dont see who would buy one of these in their right mind anyway, there is some homebrew apps that can do almost the same thing but THEY ARE FREE!!! Pimpstreamer works for me most of the time

my friend has it...he was watchin tv....on tha bus......im not even gonna spend that on it though..helllll no...but he gets paid 600 a month from cedar sanai hospital...so he can afford it....but yea its good

When a WiFi cloud covers your city and you have a broadband connection your opinion might change, Sony is thinking FAR ahead in my opinion. I still want one, but it should be cheaper. A WiFi extension device should only cost $125 bucks TOPS no matter how cool it is.

There is the hefty price tag, and I also think I read somewhere about monthly subscription fees, too. After hacking up the cash to by the LFP who the heck would want to pay a monthly fee?

My science teacher bought one. He loves it. You can get home access from anywhere [school, work, etc.]
The stuff you can do, from what I know:
- Watch Live TV on your PSP
- Watch recorded programs on your PSP
- Internet Access from anywhere
- Access DVD's to watch or record
- Access certain Computer Files/Folders from your PSP

All-in-All, its pretty handy, just needs to be set up properly and needs to be used.
So, if your going to spend $500+ on one of these items, make sure your going to be using it =P
