I agree there is no reason why they should release it. The only thing this 'hack' can be used for is piracy there is no homebrew or unsigned code it will just hurt the xbox360's growth and lets face it get a lot of people kicked off live.

Hmm at $60 + tax per game i think this is a very good thing, On top of that bill gates is a billionare he cant loose shit! So why feel bad for these people, you stay broke and they are rich for life even if 10 of these consoles flop!

Don't hate the rich, Bill Gates is rich for a reason and thats because he had a fantastic idea and great skills and made something of it and if you think just because he is rich that justifys piracy you seriously need to sort your perspective out.

if you ask me, you shouldn't brag about doing something and then not release it, regardless of the "moral implications" writing something as a proof-of-concept and not sharing it is a waste of time.

Yeah i kinda agree with you but if they did release it they could face the legal implications.

i'd never do that my xbox 360 already broke once if i did that they wouldn't accpept a return.

Looks like the "Xtreme Package" is out, it allows you to edit the firmware and set it up so that you can play your own backups of both Xbox & 360 games, id' try it myself but i dont want to risk giving up live, or screwing up the xbox (as messing with the firmware voids your warranty).
