I personally love Saw, it was doing something original in a world of stale remakes of J-horror and PG13 kids stuff (case in point-Wes Craven with Cursed). so this forums is to salute the mad, the bad and the bloody. If you see a particularly good film, give it a mention, and the true horror in cinema land can be given the righful respect it deserves.

errm, i have not watched hostle beacuse its only JUST been released in the UK, and never really heard of the rest, apart from devils rejects!

I saw Hostel on my recent holiday in the USA, and Saw was the recent horror phenomenon that hit in 2004, about the two men chained up in the dank bathroom, and told to kill eachother or they both die. The Hills Have Eyes is a remake of a mid 70's horror film directed by Wes Craven. The remake is directed by Alaxandre Aja, the french director who made Switchblade Romance in 2002. But out of all of them Saw is the best, especially the first one as the twists in the narrative are DEFINATELY going to keep you hooked.

saw all movies listed here and personally i feel saw is by far the goriest movie especially saw 3. victims are alll tortured before death and its the torture parts of the movie which make you cringe in fear and hope you just die instantly instead of being torture slowly to death. jigsaw is the ultimate killer. how come leatherface from texas chainsaw masscre is not featured here. he is a scary killer too

i dont really watch horror films as they have bad story lines but saw is defo da best!!!

None of those really were that scary but I must admit The Hills Have Eyes, the people in it really freaked me out!

Hostel sucked it was hardly even scary nothing happened until the end, SAW 1,2,3 or the 2 new TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE movies are definetly the best, havent seen THE HILLS HAVE EYES yet

I have nightmares of Jigsaw every night

saw is sick... 3 people had to go to hospital after seeing the third one. they were being violently sick. i think dog soldiers and slither are quite scary (in the gory way). I thought slither was meant to be a horror comedy but there wasnt really any funny bits
