Well today Sony had a huge conference with several announcement dealing with the PSP and the PS3. These include several new features for both devices. Ill start with the PSP:

- Videophone in autumn
- MinGol GPS
- Eyetoy
- Flash support with next update
- Mem.Stick boot support in autumn
- First-gen PS1 official emulator
- Buy/download games from net
- 199 CORE PACK PSP being released in USA/Europe by end of March (March 22nd for Europe)
- 19,800 yen Ceramic White PSP CORE PACK from 15 April in Japan

All these new features are very exciting hope them come very soon. Now for the PS3:

- GLOBAL RELEASE NOVEMBER 11th
- 60GB HDD 2.5” with pre-installed Linux OS will be included?
- Dev kit specs fix as of today
- Final PS3 development kits will be sent to developers in June
- 10.000.000 BD-ROMS manufacturing capability per month @ cost around same as 2-layer DVD
- Every PS3 game will be on a Blu Ray Disc, in an attempt to prevent piracy
- Price will not be less than 50.000YEN (~$425USD)
- PS3 will have HDMI support from launch
- Sony plans to produce 1 million PS3s a month; 6 million PS3s for FY2006 (by the end of March 07)
- Basic online service free, no details yet (could be XBLS for PS3)
- Full backwards compatibility, hi-res and texture filtering for all titles (akin to what the Xbox 360 does to Halo)
- The online service will be working off of GameSpy technology

WOW this is amazing news, all my friends who are cell phones owners always say well you can't make calls from it when I tell them I own a "god machine", now i will be able to, as well as the ps1 emu they are sponsoring and the bootable mem sticks this should be an exciting release! The ps3 sounds promising with a 60gb hdd and built in linux that is something I will definetly be buying!
But anyways now I can tell those punk a$% bustas that my "god machine" does everything and that "your phone aint got sh** on my PSP"

This isn't THAT good. It won't be coming out until September, and by then you will need to update, which a lot of people will do to get these features on their psp. I do not like this because they will be coming out around TWO YEARS after the psp will be out, thats a long time for like 3 accesories. It will also cost a lot for a GPS and camera (I expect), well not a lot but like 50 bucks ro something. Still, cmon, it took basically 2 years since the psp has been out to come up with TWO good accesories? Meh..

anyways, although i've read this other places, this is AMAZING news. only problem i have is that the ps1 emulator and games will cost $$$, but thats no big surprise. might have to consider upgrading to 3.0 and losing 1.5...

the ps3 news is also great, but slightly discouraging that it's delayed until november. not surprised either that its gonna cost more than $400... alos, i was never a fan of gamespy tech... but i hope it'll work

That is so awesome that the ps3 will ship pretty much on my birthday! And I can play Gran Turismo2 on the go hellz yea! $425 is not that bad considering the rumors and "analyst were saying $600". And that it will destory the fag box 360! These features sound sexy enough to buy a new psp since mine doesnt charge. I have to use the other sony charger where you take the battery out. Very f-ing inconvient. I am now looking forward to this fall, and now hopefully all of the xbox loser fanboys will shut up! Well not gonna happen!

Great Great News for all us Sony Fans....

It is about time that Sony has decided to release some useful and excting accessories and features for the PSP. I can't wait.

Also, that's AMAZING news regarding the PS3 although I am going impatient with the release.
