adamsutton12345

MSX
I wouldn't mind a Dualshock 2 type of controller, called the Dualshock 3 that has, oh, I don't know, something added, but stilll have almost the same shape...the Dualshock 2 is one of the most comfortable controllers I've ever held tongue.gif.
hybrid
The boomerang shape was supposed to imitate a cars steering wheel, so your wrists were straight and you would not hurt them if you play for a very long time. But as you already know Sony is going to scrape it, but what s funny is that the President of Sony America Phil Harrison said that even he hated teh design of the controller.
Snake a
I actually liked the boomarang.
It looked comphy, it looks esyer to get to the sholder buttons and it looks easer to get to the anologe stick. It just didn't look right.
ECKOgear
yea looks bad, but im sure thats what we said about the first PS controller..and its weird design....just something new and have to get used to it i guess, cuz they not changing it...i just hope they keep the vibrate function, i know PS got sued for it so hope that worked out
advebt
Are we talking about the banana controllers here? Those things are stupid. I heard that they scraped that controller though.
AK47Jazz
they had an animation on how they felt good, but the response was really negitve, i think the reason is because of the lawsuit, but i am not sure. they got sued for the dualshock idea becase some one else patented it.

They were originally gonna just stick with it,but as you said there was a lawsuit. Apparently the compony that does the Dualshock didn't get enough money or credit and so theyforced Sony to pay them a large sum of money or to take the controllers off shelves. (Including ones packaged with the consoles).
Thus, they have now begun making a new controller. Thank God for that.
aspendo
Those controllers do look ugly and too bulky but then they probably are worth the money like better vibrate or summit
kyler24x
people keep complaining about the controllers but i think they are actually pretty good. The old design is very comfortable and gamer proven so why not keep it the same as far as the motion detection i believe it is simialar to the wii's controller but its not the same so stop saying they are copying ninty
fiercemct
Is playstation going to follow suit with microsoft and develop some wireless controllers. I hope they can live up to the bar microsoft has set.
XENOdream
The new controller looks like the dualshock 2 controller, but you can tilt it cause it has a sensor, they showed an example with a flight game, this time there's no vibration so I dunno if it's called dualshock 3 still..
dl89
weeellllll they do look terrible. not that perfect
Snake a
I do beleve it has a vibration.

But a different type of one, it will vibrate through the middle of the controler instead of the wings ( They say it is so it doesnt mess with the tilt, but thats not what I think)
SHADOW SNAKE
I think the boomerang design was alright, it was unique then all the other sony controllers!
n4spd
ya

i got bored of da same joystick again and again
Sid1337
Yay another way sony rips off other companies!, First they lost in a lawsuit for someone taking their rumble technology, now they jacked the motion sensor from nintenod, what a bunch of assholes!
jgez07
OMFG! people keep blaiming sony, think bout it will ya, sony filled a patent for it years ago (tho u might doubt it) and didn't rip it off. The new controller rocks!
bearsbowl37
the boomerang controller looks too "futuristic" i guess, and im alright with the normal one.
ns9
I think that the new one isn't very good. It has no vibrating function and the motion sensing capability is very limited.
crucnhman
a controlor is a controlor if ya ask me lol. but i do like the motion senor thing it sound kinda nifty i think that technology needs to go back old school to be honest wit ya i liked it like that but like they say every button has its usage. i jus hope that sony doesnt screw up on and make it all messed up and everything
biagodly
The controllers look like ps2 controllers but updated and wireless.. 50$ each..
blyth
a trigger button would be nice, but I'm not complaining I still love the new controllers
thanato
new controllers? They look the same as the old ones.
redsox33
the changed it from the boomerang type so now it looks seminormal
blyth
I Know that, the new controllers the ones with motion sensing and it turns out they made the L and R buttons more like triggers anyway
cupid_stunt
yeh its a hybrid controller, sorta a wii and ps2 mix
blyth
I played a display at my local store of Motorstorm great game by the way and I really like the controller the R2 and L2 triggers work great and its really light for being wireless. And Why does everybody think the Nintendo is the first to have motion sensing in a controller, LOGITECH had it for the PS2 years ago.
Cramer
i dont think they look good same as ps2
Darked
never played it,but this time the Wii has the best controller hands down
marksdisplayname
that boomerang thing was so retarded. im glad the kept the design
TimJim
i think they look fine but it would have been nice to have a newer style

Like I said before, they tried one. People didnt like it so they slightly altered the original version which most people like anyway. I like the ps2 controller so I see no reason to change something that most people like. I like the little change of the L2/R2 buttons.

And I personally dont think that the wii controller is the best controller this time around. But thats me...
DeMoNiC
lol just for humour purposes, here is what the next Sony controller would look like (again this is just a joke for the sake of humor biggrin.gif)

NyghtcrawleR
Yeah lol, you wouldnt even know where to begin using that thing.
Crazy Fool™
That looks absolutely crap, what the hell is going on with sony lol
NyghtcrawleR
Are you serious crazy? Thats not a real controller....lol
Crazy Fool™
Oh lmao, so what is it then, just a wind up?
NyghtcrawleR
It was just someone who came along and photoshopped a controller to make that crazy thing.
DeMoNiC
