One of my biggest complaints with sticking with 1.5 firmware to play SNES / NES / Genesis games was that I couldnt play some of the UMD games that I actually own because they required me to update my firware to 1.52, 2.0 etc. After hearing the news that PSIX (www.psixonline.com) allowed you to boot UMDs (even some that would normally require a firmware update) from it, I downloaded the lite version and have tested two previously non-working UMD games with awesome results.
So far I've tested Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2.0) and Burnout Revenge (1.52) and they both play beautifully.
Even if this program did nothing else, just the fact that I can play SNES / NES games (not to mention all the other awesome homebrew) AND my actual purchased UMD's was enough reason in my mind to pay the ten bucks for the Pro membership version.
Anyone have any luck getting previously unplayable games working with this?

Those have always worked with the regular UMD launcher, and you can also use a version changer. PSIX launches UMD's normally, but it still can't launch GTA or Socom. Sadly, it probably never will.
