I download videos from limewire, and most of them work except the movies. In my psp it gives me unsupported data type, I guess the video was converted wrong or it was meant for Ipod.

the psp format is mp4, but its very strict. if the filename or other options are not correctly aligned during conversion, its a no go. heck, even if you google the correct conversion settings, and set them yourself, you still may get a file your psp cant play. i also find the movies converted for psp will play on ipod, though not the other way around.

As said before it might be ipod MP4, re-convert it and see if that does the job.

I use torrents, much easier to find stuff. Reconvert the file, or try renaming it to M4V1000x (x means any number).

I'm surprised that you were able to find much for mp4 on Limewire. I use to use it pretty heavily...never was able to find psp formatted movies on it - usually avi, divx, etc..and of course music. Anyway, unlike some of the the other responses, I've had fairly good luck with Limewire.

As far as converters go, or at least a good tool for putting the mp4s onto your psp try PSP Max Media Manager. It will take an ipod mp4 and make it a psp mp4. Just do a GOOGLE search for it. I tried to post the link in here and the site inserted some extra crap. The admins must not like us referencing other sites.

I had the same questions as you when I first started...try max media manager out. It's free, and if you don't like it...try something else.

Good luck.
